Doing great things can be scary, scary in a primal way. Fear of failure or fear of success can get in the way of achieving something that you were likely created to do. This fear is a temptation, a temptation to give into fear instead of courage. These fears, which are excuses, are considered natural to this world, but they are not natural to the Kingdom of Heaven. Faith is.

“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t–you’re right.”

Henry Ford

Your enemies know this. It is why they attack so often and with such intensity. They attack you through haters, through friends or family, and through naysayers who had given up on their own dreams and inspirations, or sold out to the worldview of rejecting greatness due to the fear of risk. We too can be on this list if we have, for the sake of convenience, comfort or fear have ever rejected doing something great. We can be our own enemy by giving in to the temptation of fear instead of remembering God’s promises. We must hate fear and overcome rejection.

Perhaps rejection is the root of not getting to a place of greatness? We have all been rejected before, by people who were once considered friends, by lovers, employers, or those who judged us for what they judged us by instead of righteous judgement. We have all been rejected before, either unfairly or sometimes fairly. What is the remedy for rejection? Adoption. The act of accepting something not of your own, as your own, thereby dismissing rejection.

Builder or destroyer? If we are like those of the world we have become cynical, critical, and negative when it comes to positive ideas and works. Perhaps even you have made fun of or ridiculed others’ ideas or plans because they did not make sense to you or you thought their plans would fail. Perhaps you placed judgement on others for following their dreams instead of encouraging them to go ahead with them? Perhaps you were jealous of their plans because you secretly wished for those things to be true for you and couldn’t make it happen?

If so, you are likely standing in your own way too. These are the marks of the enemy, who tempts us to envy, fear and destroy what is good in ourselves and others. It’s time to rethink and choose to have hope in ourselves and others again; to build rather than to tear down.

Are there great ideas or plans you have had in your life but failed to act on? Are there God-inspired dreams and visions you know deep down in your heart that are your purpose in life, but have lost the ability to overcome the thoughts that tell you “it probably won’t work,” or “what will others think,” or “if I fail…..”.

If so, it’s time to reclaim your dreams. It’s time to believe you can. It’s time to try again and it’s time to overcome the fears that go along with being inspired by God to do something great. It’s time to act.

It’s time to loose ourselves from the spirit of fear and rejection and remember that God gave us a spirit of power, love and a sound mind; and that we were predestined for adoption into sonship into our King Jesus Christ’s kingdom. We are co-heirs in Christ’s Kingdom when we choose to believe in Him and reject the enemies tactics to dissuade us from the moving towards our dreams and plans that can lead to more glory to our Father in Heaven.

Are there people you can encourage today? Encourage them!
Are there people who encourage or inspire you? Thank them and listen to them!
Are there naysayers in your life that keep you from greatness? Get rid of them!
Are you a naysayer in someone else’s life? Then let’s repent!

Let’s kill the serpent-like excuses that bite us! We are to be the encouragers, the builders, the fearless, the overcomers and the faithful. We are to trust in God with our plans, and trust that he will deliver us from the temptations of the evil one. We will have our trials and temptations and we are to help each other through them. In this way, we bring the kingdom of Heaven to earth!

Blessings to your understanding of this message, you are loved!
