The spirit of death and suicide is an evil spirit who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. It’s seeks to take a life of God’s dear ones through confusion. But it doesn’t act the way we might think it does. It’s a very quiet voice. A message that sounds like our own thoughts and speaks to us in our own voice. It says over and over:
“What’s the point?”
“Why bother?”
“Nobody loves me”
“Nobody understands me”
“It’s hopeless”
And unless we recognize this evil spirit working in our mind by holding every though captive per 2 Corinthians 10:5, it gets progressively worse. When you believe this wicked voice, the voice escalates the thoughts to say:
“I don’t belong here”
“I must be a mistake”
“Nobody will miss me”
“They’re better off without me”
“Maybe I can just go away”
“God must not love me”
“I wish I could just die”
This is the point where the spirit of death/suicide is seeking an opportunity. Perhaps when a person is using medications or alcohol, when a person is driving, or when a person is at the lowest point in their day after feeling rejected, disappointed, dejected, depressed, or abandoned to keep oppressing an individuals minds to the point they don’t feel like there is any other choice but to give up.
This video is an example of this situation. The person in the video doesn’t recognize the spirit, they don’t think it’s a demonic entity trying to take their life, but when they choose to jump off the Golden Gate Bridge, suddenly, the spirit leaves them and they no longer want to die.
This is how a person ideates death and suicide. It’s how they lose their desire to keep living. It starts by losing hope.
God does not want us to be home early. We are here to live a life with Him at the center, as our rock. Jesus died for us so we may live and have life, and that more abundantly. And when the enemy, the devil, tries to steal our life, then we lose out on more than we can ever understand, but God will still turn it to good.
I hope that many who have lost loved ones understand that death is not the end. But when it does occur, it does end our loved ones life with us temporarily. We must all go on to finish the race that God has put before us and never give up. We must help others do the same. We should always work to encourage those in our lives to keep going, to be strong, to have hope, to love one another and support one another when the going gets tough.
God is always with us. He will never leave us or abandon us, but we must know that the world is working to end us, lie to us, deceive us, and steal, kill, or destroy our lives. We all suffer when one chooses to listen to the evil ones voice and do what is not good. This is why it is so important to make sure all the ones you know in your life know about Jesus. He will deliver us from the voices and from the ideas to self-harm, or commit suicide. He can silence the voices that tell us we are worthless, unimportant, not valuable, or not worth staying alive.
I know, because He saved me from this voice. He delivered me from the suicidal thoughts and oppression/depression that came with it. And then, He showed me who was behind the voice behind the thoughts that I once thought were mine.
I pray you take this message and share it. I pray if you have frequent thoughts of death and suicide that you reach out to Jesus to help you through this. Pray and know that God will deliver you from the voice and the thoughts. He will not leave, you, forsake you , or abandon you, because it is written in His word and He did it for me. And what God does for one, He will do for all.
God has turned my once desire to die into hope for the future and has given me an amazing family to love and be loved by. It is good to give thanks and praise Him for all the things we do have. When we do, the things we don’t have, the things that didn’t work out, the things that disappoint us don’t feel so bad. And we can find joy, in even the smallest of things that God gives us.
