We all have times of struggle. We all have moments of anger, fear, resentment, sadness, lust, jealousy, and mourning. While these emotions and feelings can be overwhelming when they occur, we are always given a way out of them (1 Cor. 10:13). The truth is, the things of this world will not replace or satisfy the need we have for real relationships. Relationship with our Father in Heaven and with each other.
You see, we who are baptized in the spirit are all in the body of Christ and are connected. We are in God and God is in us. We are in and of each other. When one member of His body is in trouble, we all suffer. When one rejoices, we should also (1 Cor. 12:12-27).
We have the greatest gift, which is eternal life with Him. That life doesn’t start after we die here, it began when you were baptized, when you believed and received Jesus Christ as your savior.
Many in the body regularly (myself included) receive truth from the Holy Spirit that is beyond understanding of the natural. It is indeed, supernatural and are the smaller gifts spoken about in 1 Corinthians 12. These smaller gifts of the Spirit are for the building up the body of Christ into sons of God (Rom. 8:19)
And as it is written, those who are led by the spirit of God ARE sons of God (Rom. 8:14). Those who do the will of their father are in the body of Christ and heirs to the Kingdom of God with Christ (Rom. 8:17). Our names are written in the book of life! Luke 10:12
As such, WE are also gifts to the world. We are to share the gospel in all we do, say, think, feel, pray, write, preach, and sleep. We are to heal the sick, raise the dead, and cast out demons and perform and witness signs and miracles greater than what Jesus did! John 14:12
Don’t be ashamed of the gospel and do not be offended when others do not receive the gospel from you. For we are sowers and doers of the word of God and we are in the world where many have been blinded by the god of this world (2 Cor. 4:4). We must remain patient, diligent, with long-suffering, and humility. Teaching, exhorting, loving, and correcting those in the body of Christ with simplicity, self-control, and meekness, by example. So that others will receive the Word by our actions and our very lives. Showing our lives not just a fruitful trees, but groves of fruitful tree to our friends, family, and neighbors.
Yes, the greatest gift is Jesus Christ and the salvation that He gave us. It is a gift big enough to share with all of the world and can never be depleted or diminished. Praise the Lord!
