Feeling rejected?
What little matter it is to feel rejected by man when you are fully accepted unto God through Christ.
Psalms 94:14
“For the Lord will not cast off His people, Nor will He forsake His inheritance.”
Feeling persecuted?
Those who follow Jesus must expect that days of persecution will come, but those who are hated are indeed, blessed.
John 15:18
““If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.”
A key to freedom from the fear of man’s opinion is to know that there will be times when you will be rejected, mocked, laughed at, gossiped, slandered, and spurned, but do not fret when it does occur. If you are accepted by God, this world and the people of the world will hate and reject you, but He never will.
Hebrews 13:5
“Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.””
While by the world’s standards the average American’s interpretation of rejection and persecution is limited in scope, we must remember that throughout the world, the rejection and persecution people receive for belief in the name of Jesus Christ is much more severe. We may be stressed, fearful, and lonely, but we are not being burned on stakes, gas-chambered, imprisoned, or executed in the streets as other believers are currently experiencing. We must give thanks and praise God through all of this and continue praying for those going through the harshest and cruelest persecution known to man, being perpetuated by their own brothers and sisters.
In America, we don’t see much of this behavior of other parts of the world here, but we do have types and shadows of it through the rejection, betrayal, character assassination, and hatred by some friends, family, coworkers, and even churches. Jesus did say this would happen.
““Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn “ ‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law— a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’
Matthew 10:34-39
“Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.”
So yes, difficulties will arise, bad things will happen, lives will be lost, relationships will be strained and sometimes end, but we must remain vigilant until the end with the purpose we were created for and learn to love and obey the Lord’s commands.
John 15:10
“If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.”
Blessing to you this day. May the Lord of Hosts give you wisdom and revelations for the days ahead and keep you in the apple of His eye. If you have felt rejected or persecuted in your life, because of your faith in Him, you are in good company and you are in His hand.
You are loved! ❤️
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.o
Isaiah 41:10
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
