In January of 2019, I went to visit a family friend and her husband at their house. When I arrived, I found that they were all suffering from illness. My friend and her daughter were suffering from flu symptoms and were unable to breath. My friend was coughing, congested and was extremely weak. She had a fever, sore throat, and she could not speak. All symptoms of the common flu. She is a medically trained certified LPN and is no stranger to sickness. She new exactly what was attacking her family, but didn’t think that God’s healing was for today, until she saw it made manifest to her, her husband, and her daughter. I told her I was going to pray for them and that they would recover and they did.
Flu Healed
I had a choice to leave the house, or stay and manifest the healing of God that I had only learned in the prior season. I chose to stay. I held her hands, said a prayer and I felt an electric sensation as the heat of the illness she had, likely the flu, left her body and absorbed into my hands. I, in turn, gave it to God.
Immediately, she felt better and was able to breathe, where before she was extremely congested. Within 20 minutes, she was upright, breathing normally, and cleaning the kitchen. Glory to God!
Flu and Abdomen Pain Healed
My friend then told me her daughter had stayed home from school with the same symptoms. I told her I would go and pray for her. When I entered the bedroom she was laying in, she looked bad. Her skin was pale, her temperature was high and she was feeling weak and congested. I asked her if I could pray for her and she said yes. Like before, I said a prayer, held her hands and again, felt the fever lift from her. She was starting to feel better. After I prayed, I had a word of knowledge come to me that she had something amiss in her abdomen. It was either in her pancreas or liver. I again asked her to pray and I did. When I did, I didn’t feel any great power during the prayer. So I continued to talk with her.
I asked her if she had been water baptized and she said she hadn’t. I spoke words of encouragement to her and gave a story of what had happened to me. I also talked of details of the ministry of Jesus in the Bible and what He did and why we were able to pray for each other and see the same healings He did while alive.It must have been a half an hour or so of telling her stories and her face was lit up as she heard the good news. It was very good. I asked her if I could pray for her again for the abdomen pain, which she said she did have. So I did. This time, I felt the pain leave from within. I then asked if she wanted to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, to receive the same spirit as Jesus did when He was water baptized by John the Baptist. She was excited and said, “yes!” I then prayed for the teenager to receive the Holy Spirit with my hand upon her head for her to receive the spirit of God.

It was at this time that I did not feel anything in particular, in fact, I felt like maybe it didn’t work. It was strange, as I usually receive feedback from the Holy Spirit during healings, but I didn’t think any more of it, as I was preparing to leave. I then asked for a hug before I left and as she gave me a hug, I suddenly felt great power rush out of my body and I must admit that I was quite worried. In fact, I though maybe I picked up a demon of some sort, it was quite strange, but I could tell that something took place. The power of God was made manifest and I felt it! As I looked at her face before I left, it was remarkably different to me. Where before it was stressed and pained that was hard to bear to look at, it was now at peace and restful. The flu symptoms and fever were completely gone and I said she could probably go and hang out with friends, as she no longer had to stay in bed, she was healed. Her face continued to light up with excitement at the idea of not having to stay in bed and she admitted that she was full of energy. She headed toward the bathroom to get ready to live again.
The pain I detected in the young’s woman body was a major problem. In fact, I think it may have been an early cancer. I have words of knowledge that come to me and the words I had from the Holy Spirit were of the spirit of death and infirmity (cancer). I believe it was likely to be undiagnosed, but I do not know medically if she had any other signs other than a prolonged malaise she spoke of while we talked, unrelated to the flu.

As I left their house that day, I cried. It was such an honor to be witness Jesus’ miracles to another human being, ask them if they wanted to be saved, pray the sinner’s prayer with them and ask them to accept Jesus into their life and for them to be genuinely excited about it. Where as before the prayers, they were huddled up and sick in bed the whole day. It was three miracles in one day, as I prayed for my friend’s husband to be healed of cancer as well, and one I am so proud I was witness to. His cancer was healed that day too. He was tested and was in remission the next week, but this testimony will be for another time and day. Praise Jesus!
What God’s Healing Looks Like
Within a week, I delivered a study bible to my friend’s teenage daughter. She was not at home, but my friend said she was now doing quite well and seemed to be doing even better than before. She had showed up after I arrived and said “hello.” When I saw her, she appeared happier than I had ever recalled seeing her before and in the following months I checked on the family, they reported that she was doing much better in school, was healthier, and was having great success in her singing at school activities, which she had begun winning awards and I believe she made state for. I later saw a video on their social media of her singing a gospel song for her competition and it brought the tears of joy to my eyes as I saw just how much God can heal a person’s mind, body and soul. Glory to God!
This is my testimony of being a witness to God’s goodness last year. It is one case that I can affirmably testify seeing the amazing healing power of God manifest in life. While so many have steered away from healing scriptures that show that God’s healing is for today, we must testify and share our stories with others to encourage and incite others to hope in Him who saves. He loves us so much and wants to have a deeper relationship with every single one of His children. I pray this testimony brings hope to you that He is alive, He is real, and He loves you.
Supernatural healing is as real today as it was when Jesus walked in the flesh. He commissioned believers to do the same as He did and this is one story I was able to participate in His miracles and witness to the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. Praise His name!
