Bondage to sin (addictions) are like branches on a tree of frustration. Frustrations come when the roots of evil (sin) in our lives manifest and we do not have a healthy way to deal with them. These roots have names such as: fear, perversion, haughtiness, heaviness, infirmity, jealousy, fear, lust, poverty, lying, etc. When we don’t manage what’s frustrating us – branches of addiction grow and will continue to steal from us until they are resolved by pruning.

The solution is to find what the root of each frustration is. Perhaps the reason a person has an addiction to work is because he or she has fears of not being accepted by their peers (fear of rejection). In another case, a child may have an addiction to gaming or internet because they had to replace the lack of love or affection (abandonment) they receive from the parents, peers or the world with entertainment or a social connection with others online.

When we look into each root of each frustration that may cause issues in our lives, we find the true enemy and the cause/s of the addiction. Until we identify these, the addictions will continue to manifest. The longer we go without finding the roots to these frustrations and the subsequent solution to them, the more damage will be afflicted in our lives and in our relationship with others.

We all face frustrations. We have a common enemy with many tools of evil (sin) that are used against us. These seducing tools are temptations against us until we yield because of a lack of knowledge. The bible is our knowledge to help us and Jesus is our deliverer and healer. ❤️
