Bad night of sleep, huh?
The worries of the world, especially in these times, are many (Mark 4:19). The troubles and anxieties are plentiful, but when we keep our mind on Him, he gives us perfect sleep, in fact, He promises it! (Proverbs 3:24)
“End the day with gratitude. There is someone, somewhere that has less than you.”
Zig Ziglar
We are one body (1 Cor. 12:12). As such, whatever is manifesting in your neighbor’s house (body, mind, soul), will manifest in yours. If you are having trouble sleeping, so are they. If everyone is having trouble sleeping, it is an attack. You are in warfare (Ephesians 6:12). The opposite is also true. When you find good rest by praying, you can help you neighbors do the same.
Each Sunday night, obtaining restful sleep seems to be a challenge for many.
It is not because you hate your job, your life, or your boss, although you may feel as though you do. It is because your enemy (1 Thess. 2:18), came during the night to steal (Matthew 13:25) from you whatever hope, love and peace God gave you during the day of Sunday worship. In these days, it seems, he has had more power, because of the overwhelming forces of darkness upon our minds by the current affairs in the world.
“I love sleep. My life has a tendency to fall apart when I’m awake, you know?”
Ernest Hemingway

For many, Mondays are the most difficult of days, because of the loss of sleep, and because it often sets the tempo for the rest of the week. Regularly, I see people on my feed who can’t sleep at all during the night on Sundays. It no longer is just an anomaly to me. It means that we must pray diligently against the spirits of insomnia, restlessness, and the robbers and thieves who seek to steal (John 10:10) the seeds God gave us on Sunday. God gives us visions and dreams. I suspect that we received the most visions and dreams on Sunday nights, which is why our enemy is so adamant about us not being allowed a good night of sleep.
Our best approach to Monday is to pray. To pray before we sleep on Sunday, by praying vigilantly and fervently for our Father to win our battles for us during the night, and pray on Monday morning too. Pray for deliverance to combat the after effects of the warfare we faced in the night, and for Him to protect our visions and dreams from being stolen be the enemy. The prayer below is a prayer for today. You can customize your prayers as needed. You can also search for prayers to help.
Sleep Tip: Do not eat, drink alcohol, or caffeinated beverage within 2 hours before bedtime.
Prayer
“Heavenly father, I thank you for today. I thank you that you have protected my life during the night and that the intercessors have done their work to help. Now I am awake and I while I know that I may not have the rest I had hoped to have, Lord, and I know that my sleep was troubled, you have kept me in the covert of your wing. Despite the attacks at night, you keep me in peace, you comfort me, and you are my rock.
Lord, right now I ask for whatever was stolen from me and my neighbors from the enemy be returned to me. Let the dreams I dreamed that were stolen return to me. Let the love that was planted in my heart on Sunday, grow until your fruit can be harvested from my life. And Lord let every seed the enemy planted in my body, mind and soul be burned by your holy fire, and let no evil root grow within my tent. Give me rest and take my burdens from me, as you promised in Matthew 11:28-30, and allow me to have yours, which are easy and light.
I thank you Lord and may my brothers and sisters be blessed today. May my enemy be blessed today, as I am blessed today. In the might name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
Be well rested, sleep well tonight as well. May the Lord keep you in perfect peace. You are loved. ❤️
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest
Matthew 11:28
