God is always talking to you. One thing I have learned in the past year and during frequent life reviews, is that He speaks softly, in a still small voice.
Sometimes His voice is through an object, like a car, a billboard, an article online or a post on social media. Often, it is through people; our neighbors. He sends messages through strangers we meet while doing our daily business, children, grandkids, siblings, parents, and friends. He also speaks to us in our dreams, in the moments between waking and sleeping, and in times of deep prayer or lamentation. He’s always saying something and it is up to us to have our ears inclined to hear.
“He who has ears, let him hear.” – Matthew 11:15
His messages are pure. So pure we can sometimes misinterpret them. He sends loving messages, encouragements, guiding messages, corrections, and instructional messages. Jesus is practical, humorous, joyful, hopeful and direct. Once we finally do learn how to hear His voice and receive His plan for us, we simply and obediently need to learn to follow them.
