It is time that I write on something I have personally struggled with nearly my whole life; body weight. Although I had been supernaturally healed in 2018 and was at a healthy weight for over a year, I regained much, but not all of the weight I had reduced after my first initial healing. I believe my healing was delayed because of hurts, rejection, and unforgiveness experiences I had since 2018. It’s been a tough go, but God is faithful!

Going through the video and the prayers, I realized that I too had seeds of bitterness towards people and myself for past wrongs. I didn’t really let them go, because I still had a latent belief that I had a right to hold onto unforgiveness. This was wrong. I know it was wrong, yet after all my work with the Lord to understand and do His commands, I still held onto things that kept me from receiving the Lord’s healing in the areas of my appetite and ability to stave off the weight gain.

This weight gain had also manifested in pain and emotional issues. At times I felt helpless, hopeless, and that I should be rejected because of my weight gain and loss of control over my body. It has been a real issue with me for the past two years and has effected my life in many ways.

Through self-examination, I found that I have not been fully trusting God with my safety and protection. I wasn’t trusting Him to be my shield and buckler and my protection in all areas of my life and especially with my emotions, even though I believed I was! I also had a (false) belief that because of what had happened, that it was okay to still allow bad memories to roam around in my head. This is not true. We all have to get to a place where we are healed in our emotions by forgiving ourselves and others where we have wronged ourselves or others have hurt us.

After watching this video and praying, I immediately felt lighter in physically and spiritually. A heaviness that has been plaguing me for sometime has lifted and the emotions I was dealing with that has led to a weight increase is now gone. I have made a choice to completely forgive and let the past go.
For the past two days, I have felt better, lighter, and and more able to resist the temptation of eating the extra food and choosing to use food as comfort instead of for sustenance. It’s changed my emotions about food and receiving it as comfort instead of allowing God to comfort me. To allow Him to help me heal from past trauma, hurts, pains, is to completely let go of the memory of the mistake, the event, and the moments that are now passed, unchangeable, but most importantly from the past.

I am sharing this video and a short message with all who are struggling with weight like I have been. For the past two years, I have been challenged with the fact that despite eating health and moderately, I had regained much of the weight I had lost in 2018. It’s been a real struggle for me because many of the friends I have met in the past three years have seen the transition from the skinny Darrell to the one where I look much like I did before my transformation with God in 2018. I pray it does not reduce the perception of the overall transformation God has done in my life. I enjoyed being thinner and was able to be more bold with ministering with God when I wasn’t self-conscious about the extra weight. The good news, is that it’s not over!

After watching this amazing video by Jennifer Eivaz, a minister in Turlock California, speak about supernatural weight loss, I had to admit that there were underlying unresolved issues I had not dealt with since my life changed with Jesus. Just because we are healed and delivered in many other areas of our lives doesn’t mean we are done. We are complex beings! We must also be aware that each day can present a new situation that can cause injury or offense and we must deal with each one as it comes.

Any given day, God can present us with an unhealed traumatic event we need to deal with that we weren’t ready to do so from the past. He is faithful to keep presenting it! Mine, has been bitterness for people I looked up to that had let me down, people that wronged me or my family, and others who we were hurt by through actions, behaviors, or their own unhealed issues in their lives. I also had a fair amount of bitterness for myself to boot! God is showing us that we need to deal with each event with Him so He can heal us. It’s our past memories of events that have the most emotional pain that usually manifests in our lives or re-presents itself in new ways. In truth, it’s sin (mistake or transgression) that needs to be recognized, renounced, and repented of (change direction) so we may be healed.

Since I watched Jennifer’s video, repeated the prayers, renounced and repented for the mistakes I have made, I felt the presence of God give me the assurance that this is what had caused the weight gain in the manifestation of self-preservation (wearing protective layers) and that I was healed. Since this, I’ve been able to manage my appetite better, eat without overeating, and have a new desire to stay on course, knowing that the weight and the heaviness is ending. While I did not notice an instant physical weight reduction as some had experienced with the prayers, I did feel the immediate reduction of a heaviness that had been weighing me down spiritually. I feel light even now and in faith, I know that physical weight reduction will come in time. I believe that it worked and time will reveal it.

My hopes in this post are that others experiencing the same conditions are able to view the video and truly discover the roots of the issue causing their condition. Healing does come with time and when we let God be our protector, our safety, and our provider, He will surely heal us. It’s in His word. And while the world might try to steal our healing as it had done mine for a time, Jesus is still faithful to bring His healing hand back to reclaim His bride – us.

I pray that if you have struggled or know of someone who has struggled with increased weight or appetite and the subsequent pain that it can cause, that you share this message and video with them or take it upon yourself to receive healing in this area, by watching the video or by searching yourself with God to have Him show you where you may be fighting the same things that others are.

Blessings to you this day – may this word bring you encouragement that each day is an opportunity to heal and to explore your world with Jesus as your friend. You are never alone and you are loved!

Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.
