In Mark 5:35-43, Jesus showed us that the faithless, doubters and scoffers need to be set apart from the group of people that are praying and laying hands on the sick in order to obtain the miracle they seek.
“While Jesus was saying this, some messengers came from Jairus’ house and told him, “Your daughter has died. Why bother the Teacher any longer?” 36 Jesus paid no attention to what they said, but told him, “Don’t be afraid, only believe.” 37 Then he did not let anyone else go on with him except Peter and James and his brother John. 38 They arrived at Jairus’ house, where Jesus saw the confusion and heard all the loud crying and wailing. 39 He went in and said to them, “Why all this confusion? Why are you crying? The child is not dead—she is only sleeping!”40 They started making fun of him, so he put them all out, took the child’s father and mother and his three disciples, and went into the room where the child was lying. 41 He took her by the hand and said to her, “Talitha, koum,” which means, “Little girl, I tell you to get up!”42 She got up at once and started walking around. (She was twelve years old.) When this happened, they were completely amazed. 43 But Jesus gave them strict orders not to tell anyone, and he said, “Give her something to eat.”

In verse 37, it shows Jesus only took Peter, James and His brother John with Him, because he knew they had the level of faith it requires to heal the sick and raise the dead. He also allowed the child’s parents in the room in verse 40 because they had love and compassion for the child to see her resurrection. God blessed them for faith and love.
Another example of unbelief getting in the way of miracles can be found in Mark 6:5 where Jesus could perform little miracles in his home town because of their unbelief. They had taken offense to Him because of their familiarity with Him.
“And he could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people and healed them”.

If your church is seeking God’s miracles and healings – it would be best to know who the true believers are and set them apart from the rest. Not to shame the unbelievers, but to ensure that God’s work is done. The faithless, doubters, and scoffers (unbelievers) can get in the way of the healing and miracles God is ready to co-labor with you for. It may possible to build up their faith over time, but it is best to keep them out of your healing sessions until they do. Love and compassion for the sick are also imperative to have to see healings in the measures God’s generals (John G. Lake, Smith Wigglesworth) would see in their time, manifested today.
John Graham Lake, (March 18, 1870 – September 16, 1935), had a healing rooms where he trained Christians to learn to heal others through a system he had fine-tuned with the Holy Spirit. He gave the trainees 30 days to practice healing through prayers and laying on of hands. If they didn’t see others healed after 30 days – they would be removed from the school.
