So, I went to Walmart yesterday. It’s the first time I had been there in several months due to the craziness of the pandemic. I didn’t go there willingly, we needed things and I needed to go, but I did go there with hope, because the Holy Spirit informed me there was someone I was to meet when I got there. So I went. Yeah, I’m that guy…

My step-daughter was with me and we both had face masks on. Everyone we saw wore the masks. We rolled around the Walmart, talking to the employees that we recognized from the last time we had been there and went about trying to encourage them as we shopped. Kindness in the eyes of others was hard to detect, as it had been completely replaced with fear.

As we navigated the fruit section, I turned around and saw a family. They had a child around 2 year of age who had an oxygen tube in his nose. Imagine being a young child without being able to breathe? They didn’t make him wear a mask, he was the only one in the store without one. When I saw him, I knew he was the one I was there for. So I asked his parents if it would be okay to pray for him. They were scared at first (stupid masks), but I told them I didn’t have to break social distancing to pray for him. The boy looked troubled because of the masks, but once I prayed for him, his facial expression changed to joy and laughter. His parents did too. The Holy Spirit touched their family. Yes, they were apprehensive when I asked to pray for them, but they knew it was exactly what they needed. God is so good! Although my prayer was short and to the point, it was effective, because of my belief in God. He takes one experience such as this small act of faith to encourage the families and me. He loves us and if we listen to what He has to say, He will meet us anywhere. Even in the produce aisle of a Walmart.

Did the child get healed miraculously right then and there? Well, his spirit was, I believe that. The rest, the Lord will reveal to his family in time. I’ve seen Him heal before. I prayed for his respiratory and immune systems to be healed. I prayed for this child in the middle of Walmart, because if my baby boy had the same problem and there was someone who knew God’s miraculous healing powers are real, and was a witness to them, I would sure appreciate if they would pray for my child to be healed.

With faith, you can believe that this coronavirus is like the water Jesus walked on. He had faith to rise above it, to walk on it in faith.

What is stopping us Christians? Fear? We are to walk in faith and trust in the Lord who knows what is needed, when it’s needed. As long as we continue to listen and obey, we will be okay. With faith, you can believe that this coronavirus is like the water Jesus walked on. He had faith to rise above it, to walk on it in faith. We are to do the same and see even greater miracles than Jesus! It’s time to step out your boat!

As for the rest of people I met and saw at Walmart, let’s just say it was very rough. Some said hello, but conversation in this mind-controlled age is considered evil. People seem to have lost their patience or what little they had left of it. Many people no longer greeted each other, mask or no mask, 6 feet apart or 12 feet apart. They are full of fear. Fear of the virus, fear of being judged, fear of getting sick, fear of dying. They don’t seem to have a fear of God though. They still do what they do, just without any manifestation of the fruits of the spirit. No kindness, gentleness, joy, patience, goodness, or peace. (Gal. 5.22) One woman walked past us with the word “ME” on her tie-die t-shirt and it spoke volumes to me as to the condition of hearts everywhere.

I couldn’t stay long in the store. It was oppressive and I don’t like buying stuff anyway. I love people, as God has healed my heart to do, I will shine my light in every location and every situation, but admittedly, it’s nearly impossible with a mask. It’s hard to talk and hard to be heard when wearing one. Even so, we must remain faithful and go. We must get out of our boats.

As we drove away, the Holy Spirit was with us. I was given a word of knowledge, “closed ears“. Yes, it was true, the world has turned away from God and has become deafened. People no longer trust God will save us or that He still heals today. We are at risk at becoming isolated, unbelieving, untrusting, and fruitless trees. We cannot allow ourselves to continue on this barren and wide path. We must turn to Him, repent, and pray for healing.

Prayer

Heavenly father, I thank you for your faithfulness when we have not been faithful. I thank you that you always hear us even when our ears are closed. I thank you that your words are always true, even when we have become liars and errantly declare our opinions over your word. Father, you are always full of grace and mercy, even when we lost all ability to serve others as you have taught us to do.

Today, I repent and I ask for a renewed spirit. My cup has emptied. I come to you asking for help. Help us Lord, renew our minds to your words. Turn and heal our hearts and make them as flesh instead of stone. Help us with our lack of faith, our fear, our anger.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I bind the spirits of fear, mind control, and heaviness that has entered my mind. I loose power, love and a sound mind, per 1 Timothy 1:7, and comforter, garment of praise and oil of joy against the spirit of heaviness. I speak to the mountain of fear of man, fear of sickness, fear of death, fear of judgement and command them to go into the sea!

Thank you Father, for all things and in Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen.

In Christ,
Darrell B. Jones
