The recent death of “Captain America” is a tragic story. A decorated war veteran returns to civilian life, lands a coveted job at the Pentagon, then suddenly dies after a meeting with his former battalion leader. While some would find this suspicious, I found it quite understandable. The truth behind veteran suicide deaths is little understood by the psychology world, for many reasons. The primary one being that the cause of suicide can only be understood if it is viewed through spiritual lens instead of the worldly view of psychology. The real the reason veterans die by suicide is because of the spiritual reality of demonic curses. I know, because after I left the military in 1995, I was also cursed with depression and suicidal ideations until I was permanently set free only two years ago.

In America, we lose 22 of our veterans and active duty to suicide every day. The losses are staggering. This number is not going down and has remained unchanged for years. While there have been many media highlights and attempts to try to explain and fix the phenomenon, it has had little effect on the reduction of losses, even after the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have been reduced to one that is closer to administrative support status than active war.
Spirit of Death & Suicide
The spirit of death is evil. It will not relent and constantly “talks” to a person with thoughts or internal dialogue that resembles: “what’s the point”, “why bother”, “no one cares”, “why try?”, “no one will miss me”, “no one needs me”, “better off dead”, and “I’m not needed”. These spirits speak to a person in a person’s own voice in their mind and will naggingly give the person ideas that they do not matter. They will also flash visuals in the mind of death and violence. They will give a person ideations of death and suicide that keep a person from enjoying each day as they are blessed to, with joy. A person with the spirit of death/suicide can often see images of themselves crashing their car, grabbing their gun, drinking, overdosing on medications or see themselves hanging as possible “solutions” to the feelings of hopelessness and despair. These feelings are not by accident and each “feeling” that results in the thought of suicide can be evil spirits. Hopelessness, despair, desolation, and isolation are all in the family realm of death. They seek to cause a person to lose all faith that they will be okay and make it through whatever life experience they are going through, even if it is one that is closer to hell than life as war often does. Once a person no longer accepts the idea that they are blessed and are born to prosper, they can creep slowly down into a pit of self-pity, low self-esteem, worthlessness until there is only one solution to end the pain.
Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.
Luke 10:19
PTSD, shell-shock, and other mind-controlling symptoms can be demonic in nature and may be caused by curses if they are not alleviated by common psychological and medical treatment plans. The medical system often over-prescribes patients with medications in hope to take away the symptoms that medical professionals are trained to view as un-curable. These prescriptions can be a deadly combination of anti-psychotics, anti-depressants, anti-ADHD and narcotics to create a toxic mix that biophysically modifies human brains and leads addiction. Addiction will then create a bondage to the treatment instead of a cure. In many cases, people are rendered to a life-long bondage to a medication regime that allows evil spirits and open door to other depravities and conditions to live in their minds. This can result in bondage to a spirit of pharmakeia, which is a form of witchcraft and sorcery.

Curses
Death curses are real. They have been around as long as humans have and they can apply to anyone who has offended another human being. People have power in this life and prayers and curses are how supernatural power can affect others by mere prayer or by the laws of the Bible that many are unaware of. Those performing black magic or spell-work can cause the pain and suffering of others through witchcraft. These spells, ritual, incantations and conjurings can be put on others in the spirit realm that a practitioner can cause great harms to others by their faith.
Satan is a copy cat. He seeks worship from anyone who will obey him and he will allow for supernatural things to happen if given worship, sacrifice and allegiance he seeks. This is what witchcraft represents, where people gain power over others through intimidation and manipulation for the spiritual power of domination, which is in the glory of Satan’s kingdom vs. God’s.
Problems arise in wartime situations where soldiers from one land will enter another country and a whole new spiritual realm, with powers, principalities, rulers and authorities apply because of war. People in other countries have been performing various forms of witchcraft for much of time. These can include forms of animism, shamanism, and others I describe in a little more detail in a previous blog post. People have great spiritual power and can speak curses over foreign lands, nations, and soldiers because of war. Mothers and fathers who lost family and children in war can often speak curses against the invading armies and the spiritual affect will result in death curses that will seek to destroy the individual soldiers through supernatural means, instead of using physical weapons of war as we know them.
Discerning the Spirit
Discerning the spirit of suicide and death was given to me early on in my walk and deliverance in 2018. It’s a personal touch that the Holy Spirit gave to me that came from a traumatic and painful event in my life. When I get this word of knowledge, it’s distinct and direct. It’s also emotional, because when I get this word, I immediately have compassion for anyone suffering from it. I’ve have prayed for people who confirmed that suicide and death were the exact thoughts that were haunting them. Prayers for healing and words of encouragement are critical in the deliverance of this spirit. Follow up is required to help the person learn new patterns of changing the way the perceive evil thoughts to something they can deliver themselves from with the help of Jesus Christ.
Spiritual Problems, One Solution
There is a solution outside of the medical field. The one solution I discovered was with my renewed faith and subsequent baptism in the Holy Spirit by Jesus Christ. In 2018, I was in the tail end of a 25+ year affliction of depression and up until then, I had experienced moments of suicidal ideations as well as a few attempts that were unsuccessful. I thank God to this day that my life was spared. If I had succumbed to the spirit of death long ago, I would have missed so much in life and the life of my family. Suicide never was a viable option, because God put us all here for a purpose. And while here, we will have moments in our life where we are attacked by thoughts that will tempt us. It can happen to anyone, but is more prevalent in those who have experienced trauma, abuse, or a host of other events that may have caused the idea of suicide to enter our minds.
For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.
Romans 8:2
All soldiers, especially soldiers returning from war, either in Iraq and Afghanistan or elsewhere, should undergo deliverance for past traumas and curses. The curses can come from combat, sins, accidental agreements with the enemy, and some the curses can be put on them by the people in the occupied countries where they served. Witchcraft curses are real and if a soldier doesn’t maintain His faith in God and seek deliverance, they can succumb to the spirits that seek to destroy them, including the spirit of death/suicide.

Not Just for Soldiers
These death curses are not limited to soldiers and can apply to anyone, especially if they have ever had ideations or attempts of suicide in life and even through ancestral connection or curses. Once a person has the imagination, vision, or thought of suicide, the assigned spirit can linger around and constantly “speak” to the person (usually in their own voice) throughout their day until it finds them at a low point. Then it strikes. The spiritual attacks can be powerful and nearly irresistible, especially to those who are under stress already, have had a new traumatic event occur (often because of a new spiritual attack), are taking drugs or alcohol, or are at a low point with feelings of hopelessness and despair.
Deliverance
I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
Matthew 16:19
If you are experiencing or know of someone who is experiencing thoughts of death or suicide, you need to get help right away. While that help can be the voice of a friend or loved one, or the voice of another person who cares at the end of a hotline number, it can also be to our God in Heaven, who hears us when we are at our lowest and will rescue us. God loves to work through people and there are lots of people who can help. Get in contact with a person you know who is full of the Holy Spirit and knows how to pray. Deliverance can be done even by video now and there are lots of people and ways to seek the prayers and the words you need to break the curse of death and cast away the spirit of death from your mind, permanently. Jesus Christ was the blood sacrifice needed to save us, heal us, and break every curse that has been put on humans. It was paid for!
I know this, because this is what happened to me. Without going into details of my afflictions of depression, I’ll cut to the solution for the sake of brevity. In the fall of 2018, I began filling my mind with the word of God and seeking him diligently. Once I understood that power and authority that a believer of Jesus Christ is given, I was able to cast off and be delivered from years of hurts, wrongs, unforgiveness and curses that held me back in life. Jesus Christ delivered me from depression, anxiety, suicide, and death since the fall of 2018 and I am now living a life I had always desired, with freedom from the pain that only Christ Jesus can deliver us from. I no longer need to take any medication, I no longer have any addictions of any kind and I truly live each day as a free man from the spirit of suicide and death. I believe we all can have this freedom, because it was paid for and because we have a God who loves us.
If you need to talk to someone now, you can give National Suicide Prevention Hotline a call at 1-800-273-8255. If you want to seek the true cure and receive healing with the deliverance written about above, please seek a local Holy Spirit-filled church and they can get you started. Not all churches are the same, so you may have to research by calling them to see if they can help with deliverance. Alternatively, you can always reach out to me and I would love to help direct you in the right direction with prayers and I would also be willing to help you find a place to get deliverance. I monitor this account often, so feel free to send me a comment and I’ll get back to you. Freely given, freely give!
As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

God Bless! You are loved!
