I just finished reading an article on KSHB in Kansas City. The last 24 hours was considered violent. There were shootings and murders. Jahron Swift returned to a bar called 9ine Ultra Lounge in Kansas City and opened fire – hitting 16 people and killing a young woman named Raeven Parks who was leaving the bar to meet with friends. The man was earlier rejected from entering the bar. His rejection turned to anger and in a sudden fit of rage, turned to murder. Jahron was subsequently shot and killed by the bar’s security guard.
It leaves to question. Why? Why this violence in the rejected? Why are there so many deaths related to rejection? If you peruse online articles of past shootings and events, you will find hundreds if not thousands of people have killed others because they were or felt rejected. Rejected by an employer, a spouse, a lover, a friend, a school, a group, an enemy, or a friend. In each case, rejection was the root cause of the anger, which spiraled into rage and murder.

Rejection Programming
At my place of work, we have a time clock. At certain times, when an employee clocks in and they are not on the schedule or if the clock in too early, the time clock displays “Rejected: punch” on the screen and loudly beeps. The sound sends a shock to the spine and it creates instant anxiety in the timeclock user. Fear that you did something wrong, etc. will go through your head regardless if you are secure in your mind or have no reason to experience fear. Why companies must put “rejected” on a screen instead of any other message that can help the user is confounding. Many would say – simple laziness of the programmers or perhaps system memory requirements that only allow for simple messages, like “REJECTED” to display for every logic error the machine has. But any individual who ever felt rejected in their life or has a spirit of rejection would be triggered by such an problem. So, why do we purposefully or accidentally make others feel rejected?
Evil of Rejection
Rejection is of judgement and destruction. When a person feels rejected, they feel worthless and cast away, which is the meaning of the word; thrown back or away. While most of us do not actively going about our day to make others feel rejected or unwanted, it can happen more often that we think, because the emotion of feeling rejected can be a spirit of rejection or fear of rejection that speaks frequently to a person who is affected or weakened in their conscious to it.
So how does rejection lead to violence? What makes it escalate to the point of one becoming violent or giving into the temptation of acting out in violence?
One who is afflicted or weak to the spirit of rejection often is affected by other spirits; spirits of anger, lust, perversion, jealousy, hatred, rage, and yes, even murder. It is not until one becomes weakened to the point they lose self-control that these spirits that most people feel as emotions become empowered to do or carry out actions that are not usually inline with a person’s normal characteristics or behaviors. They go often go against a person’s commonly known by others personality traits. This is why we often hear people talk of a person who experiences an episode resulting an in a serious crime such as assault, rape, and murder as a mild person or a soft-spoken individual. Most friends and family members are often surprised when they find out what happened or how an individual could allow themselves to be overtaken or overpowered by the thoughts to do such serious harm to another individual or against material objects in cases of harm to property.
Spirits can work in groups and often are known by those who study evil spirits or demons as working in gangs. In truth, much of an activity of real-life street gangs, mafias, or other institution who practice crime as a main body of work have behaviors and characteristics of demonic gangs. In essence, demonic gangs will overtake or overpower an individual in a time where there ability to stave off such an evil attack is at its weakest point, resulting in the individual carrying out the orders of the evil spirit who once only had the ability to tempt a person to think evil thoughts, without resistance to the ideas they give.
The Aftermath
Once a person loses control of themselves in an action resulting in harm or damage to another person or property, the evil spirit within the offender has succeeded in afflicting potential permanent damage to the person’s conscious. This is written about in the Bible as a unclean conscious.
They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them 16 on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus.
Romans 2:15-16
This is how a simple rejection, which those who are in Christ would quickly disregard, can turn into a crime and a sin to those who may not have the knowledge or ability to fight off its slippery tempting ways. This is how a seemingly harmless person can turn into a killer or even a child do things that no one ever suspected they could. The spirit of rejection is much more dangerous to our youth than we realize and it’s time to learn to fight these spirits effectively.
There are many books on education of and prayers against the spirit of rejection and how to cast it out and be healed of its effects. God wants to heal you, restore you, and reconcile you to Him. Jesus knew all there was about rejection and He wants you to know that you will never be rejected by Him.
He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
Isaiah 53:3
We all face rejection at some point in our lives and we must know that we will face this and at times, hatred, and other times, persecution. We must choose to believe in God’s word that rejection is expected by man, but we are accepted into the family of God through Jesus Christ. He is the same today, tomorrow, and forever. He saves us from the perils of evil and keeps us in perfect peace when we keeps our minds on Him!
